The Students’ Federation of India (SFI) condemns the NTA’s decision to postpone the CSIR NET exam following alleged question paper leaks. This comes on the heels of the cancelled UGC NET exam, further exposing the gross incompetence and ineptitude of the NTA. This catastrophe is the result of centralisation and autocratic attitude of Modi Government.
SFI demands the scrapping of the NTA altogether. The systematic infiltration of RSS-affiliated individuals into key positions at the NTA and UGC, under the BJP-led government’s agenda, has resulted in the current shambles. These politically motivated appointments are putting the entire education system and the futures of students at stake.
SFI demands:
- Accountability and resignation of the Education Minister for this fiasco.
- Scrapping of the NTA due to its consistent failures.
- A thorough investigation into the alleged question paper leaks and the role of those involved.
Students’ lives and careers cannot be made pawns in the government’s political game. SFI stands firmly with the student community and will fight for a just and transparent education system.
